OVER RIDE

2022-2023

We don't always see only one direction of time. The digitized information in front of us is "the past" = "the mutable future," and we can visually live together with the time axis of "the present" through the monitor. The series of "XX cm = 1 second," which I have been creating as two-dimensional works, was presented as a real-time online work. A real-time online work is a proposal for a form of work that shares time and transmits information through a one-way monitor. Real-time video is combined with recorded video to create a visual cohabitation of the ever-advancing "present" and the ever-changing "past" on various time axes.
