A piece that manifests the unseen urban night sky, made for an exhibition in Tokyo. The concept of the piece is to stir awareness. Does anybody notice the stars as they go about their lives in the city? As modern city dwellers, we have a diminished awareness that we live under a star-filled sky, what with the towering buildings and myriad of lights that swallow up the sky after dusk. I wanted to bring the presence of the starry sky back into the lives and awareness of viewers by displaying this star chart in the centrally located venue of the exhibition.

都市の生活で見えなくなっている星空を、東京ミッドタウンに出現させるという作品。東京ミッドタウンで「星圖」を展示することは、都市が吸収している星空の存在を人々の生活や意識に戻すことであると考えた。天文図の星の位置（星圖歩天歌 / 安倍晴親）を書き写し、星空をなぞるように作者自身の２ヶ月間の日記を書き込んだ。都市に眠っている夜空を、ここ東京ミッドタウンに出現させる。コンセプトは「意識への誘発」。都市の生活のなかで星空は見えるだろうか。現代都市での生活では星空と共に生活している意識は薄れてしまった。大きなビル、大量の灯り、都市が星空を吸収している。この東京ミッドタウンで「星圖」を展示することは、都市が吸収している星空の存在を、人々の生活や意識に戻すことであると考える。
